The University of Tartu demo room opened at the Delta study and research building gives the opportunity to introduce the university using an attractive video installation. The setting up of the demo room proceeds from the need to showcase the university’s research results to foreign visitors and cooperation partners through solutions that change society.
“We selected six exciting research fields of the university’s researchers and created a short video to introduce them,” commented the head of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Kristel Reim on the vision of the demo room. “In the scenario, hydrogen technology, self-driving cars, nudging, language technology solutions, personalised medicine, and lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 have been taken to the University of Tartu Mars College and its student Mari Mädler shows how and why these research achievements will take us forward in the future,” said Reim.
All University of Tartu units are welcome to use the demo room for hosting their guests and introducing the university. For that, simply write to the Delta Community Manager Kristi Vabamäe and book a suitable time.
“While the members of the Rector’s Office have very busy calendars, and they, unfortunately, cannot attend all the university’s guests, then here, everyone gets to be greeted by the rector himself,” said Kristi Vabamäe, dropping a tongue-in-cheek hint at the presentation to be seen at the demo room.
The demo room can host up to 25 guests at a time. After the introduction, a seminar or a meeting can also be held in the room, as all the necessary equipment is available. Upon request, snacks or catering can be ordered from the Delta Café.
